School Bus Transport Assistance -
FAQ's
Who Is Eligible?
All primary school students living further
than 3.2km from the nearest state primary school to their
residential address.
All secondary school services living further
than 4.8km from the nearest state secondary school to their
residential address.
Even if a student is not found eligible, they
may still use the bus. They simply need to purchase a book of
pre-paid tickets.
How Do I Apply For A Bus
Pass?
There are two forms that you will need to fill
out to get your child a bus pass. The first is issued by Queensland
Transport, this form is one per family (up to 4 children). The
second form is the HPBS Form, these are also one per family (up to
4 children).
Forms can be mailed out to you, collected from
any Driver or filled out at the office. In most cases, if we
receive a form over the counter we can process it and make up a
pass on the spot.
Alternately, you can download and print out
the two forms by visiting the Bus Pass
Page. Please
remember that the original, signed forms must be mailed back to
us;
What if my Child loses their
Pass?
If your child loses their pass they will need
to get a replacement as soon as possible. Children without a pass
will be asked to pay full fare by their Driver. Replacement passes
cost $10.00 each, this can be refunded if the new pass is found
within three weeks.
To get a new pass you need to contact the
office or give the Bus Driver an envelope with $10.00 inside and
the Student's name and address written on the outside. Alternately,
contact the office.
